On Wednesday 9th September, to mark its official opening, many of the key people who have helped to establish the RSPB’s new Broadwater Warren nature reserve gathered at the site.

We are delighted to announce the successful applicants to GrantScape’s 2009 'Working with Nature' grant programme.

A £300,000 grant programme was launched in July 2008 specifically targeted at conserving and enhancing biodiversity in Inner London. This was our first grant programme dedicated to supporting urban biodiversity.

The RSPB's "GrantScape Heathland Management Project" at its flagship Arne Reserve in Dorset has now reached the end of its first year, and considerable progress has already been made to conserve its internationally-important heathland.
