GrantScape Supports Inner London's Biodiversity

A £300,000 grant programme was launched in July 2008 specifically targeted at conserving and enhancing biodiversity in Inner London. This was our first grant programme dedicated to supporting urban biodiversity.

The programme (called the ‘Inner London Nature Conservation Fund’) was designed with assistance from the London Biodiversity Partnership, the GLA and the London Boroughs Biodiversity Forum. Its launch was supported by the Mayor of London, naturalist Nick Baker, and London Biodiversity Partnership Manger Nick White.

In choosing between projects, we also looked to support the Mayor of London’s objective to improve Londoners’ access to nature, particularly where there is a present deficiency.

We have now announced the grant awards made (subject to contract) to the successful groups and their projects. More . . .
