Oxfordshire Stronger Communities Fund
GrantScape is delighted to announce that it has won a contract with Oxfordshire County Council to manage and deliver a new grant programme. The ‘Oxfordshire Stronger Communities Fund’ will provide grants for community and voluntary organisations throughout the County.
We expect to publish full details of this exciting new funding opportunity on our website shortly.

LCF Training Workshop
The Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) is a great source of funding in the UK. However, there are areas of the Fund that are relatively complex and can be confusing to those seeking grants. GrantScape’s depth of experience, alongside our thorough knowledge of the changing LCF regulations and guidance, means that we are particularly well placed to help train all those involved in LCF fundraising. For larger organisations, we will tailor a half or full-day training workshop, covering all aspects of LCF applications and grant-making that you require, but specialising in biodiversity. This can take place at a location of your choice.

To date, we have run several LCF training workshops and, from the feedback received, they have proved to be a great success. There are two more dates scheduled this year; 7 September and 7 December. For full details of these and how to book, click here
2011 VAT increase? Will this affect your grant or application?
The Government has recently announced that, from 4 January 2011, VAT will increase from 17.5% to 20%. Whether we have already awarded you a grant, you have submitted an application which is currently being assessed, or you are thinking about applying to us, it is important that you consider whether the VAT increase will have any impact on your project. If you can recover VAT then you should not be affected, otherwise, click here to read more.

Since the last edition of OutLook, a newsletter for the Caird Bardon Community Programme has been produced. This includes an article on East Leeds Community Sports Club's grant of £50,000. Click here if you would like to view it.

Woodford Community and Environmental Fund
We were sad to hear in late May that Woodford Waste Management Ltd had gone into administration. The really good news, however, is that the company has now been bought-out by its management team and they are very keen for the Woodford Community and Environmental Fund to continue.
To accommodate this change of benefactor we have, therefore, extended the Fund's most recent deadline for applications until 12 noon on Monday 29th November. The Fund's eligibility and judging criteria remain unchanged; click here for full details.
