During the celebrations, The Trust warmly thanked all of the funders and local contractors that have supported its work at Randalls Farm over the years. Most recently, this included a £110,000 grant from GrantScape for physical improvements to the Centre’s external areas, including a new bird hide, a new welcome board and better paths for wheelchair users.
Su Jenkins runs Randalls Farm and is delighted with the improvements to the Centre. She said: “We are extremely grateful for the support from the funders and all the local people who have provided services at reduced rates and sometimes even for free. Randalls Farm is well-used resource by the whole community and so many people have benefited by taking part in the activities we offer.”
Steven Hargreaves, GrantScape’s Chief Executive, said: “Our support for Randalls Farm has been one of GrantScape’s longest grant-making relationships, extending over 8 years through a number of grants totalling over £500,000. We are delighted to have seen the Centre develop as a valued community environmental facility over this time. We are also grateful to WRG Waste Services Ltd for kindly providing the monies through the Landfill Communities Fund to enable us to support the Trust’s work”.
