Our New Website Launched

Can your Organisation Help Protect our Wildlife?

One of GrantScape's main priorities is to bring in new funds to help support wildlife and nature conservation in the UK. If you are interested in being associated with our Biodiversity Grant Programmes for 2008, perhaps as part of your organisation's Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, please contact Gareth Kingston, Matt Young or Andrew Budd. All contributions will be welcome and we will ensure that these are suitably recognised and promoted.

UK Biodiversity Funders Network

Matt Young, GrantScape's Senior Grant Manager, is leading an initiative to develop a new network for funders who support nature conservation in the UK. The purpose of the forum is to discuss issues around funding to protect our wildlife, and to provide a networking opportunity for organisations that have similar grant-making agendas. more

CWM Community & Environmental Fund Update.

image of cwm logoSix Carmarthenshire-based groups were awarded grants totalling just over £95,000 from the “CWM Community and Environmental Fund” at the end of 2007.

Caird Bardon Community Fund Update

caird bardon logoThe closing date of 21st December resulted in 10 applications seeking over £500,000. Decisions on grants to we awarded will be made in March. The next deadline for applications is 27th June.

Taking the Initiative on Gower

view across Gower PenninsulaOn the beautiful Gower peninsula in Wales, GrantScape is supporting the National Trust’s ‘Life in Common’ project to restore and manage key habitats on a number of commons. The total project area covers over 1,700 hectares of heathland, acidic grassland and purple moor grass pasture which are of international importance.

This innovative project is now well-advanced and is pioneering new ways of controlling and composting bracken which is a pervasive problem. more
