Biodiversity training workshops for Landfill Communities Fund grants

The Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) is a great source of funding in the UK. However, there are areas of the Fund that are relatively complex and which can be confusing to those seeking grants. GrantScape’s depth of experience, alongside our thorough knowledge of changing LCF regulations and guidance, means that we are particularly well placed to help train all those involved in LCF fundraising, including trustees and directors.

We have, therefore designed, a one-day workshop specifically to help organisations wishing to improve their chances of securing LCF grants. The training provided covers all categories under the LCF, but with a particular focus on biodiversity projects.

To date, we have run four of these workshops and from the feedback received they have proved to be a great success. In 2010, we plan to run a further three courses in May, September and December. For full details of these and how to book, click here

Over £700,000 awarded to local community projects

CWM logoIn April 2007, landfill operator CWM Environmental Limited (CWM) joined forces with GrantScape to launch the CWM Community and Environmental Fund. This grant programme, which GrantScape manages on behalf of CWM, distributes funding under the Landfill Communities Fund to much-needed community and environmental projects throughout Carmarthenshire.

Changes to the Caird Bardon Community Programme

Caird Bardon logoWe have recently changed the Caird Bardon Community Programme’s funding area to include all Leeds Metropolitan District wards in order to enable more local communities to access funding. This exciting amendment to the Programme was made on 17 November, and the first closing date for completed applications is 24 May 2010.
