New Grant Programme Launched

Woodford Waste Management logoWe have launched an exciting new grant programme in Cambridgeshire called the 'Woodford Community and Environmental Fund'.

The Fund will have approximately £140,000 available each year, using donations from Woodford Waste Management. The minimum grant that can be applied for is £5,000, with a maximum of £35,000.

Announcing the Fund’s launch, Woodford Waste Management’s Managing Director, Mark Farren, said:

Grants will be available to support projects designed to improve community facilities and those which support nature conservation objectives. Qualifying projects include funding for village hall improvements and new-builds, children's play areas, cycle paths, nature reserves, activity centres and public parks.

Funding is being made available under the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF). Projects must fall within 10 miles of Woodford’s landfill site near Warboys, Huntingdon (PE28 2TX) and must comply with LCF requirements. more

Workshops for Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) Grant Applications

Image of ottersFollowing the success of our second one day training workshop, we are providing another opportunity to attend this valuable course. Designed specifically to help organisations wishing to improve their chances of securing an LCF grant, it covers all funding categories under the LCF, but specialises in biodiversity projects.

The next course will be held in London on Tuesday 21st July 2009. There are places available if you would like to attend. more

GrantScape Achieves ENTRUST Accreditation

We are extremely pleased to announce that GrantScape has achieved Accreditation status from our regulator, ENTRUST. The Accreditation scheme is a voluntary process where ENTRUST undertake a systems-based review of internal controls and governance frameworks. As we have demonstrated we reach the required standard, ENTRUST will apply a lighter regulatory touch.

CWM Community and Environmental Fund

CWM logoFour Carmarthenshire-based groups were awarded grants totalling almost £86,000 from the CWM Community and Environmental Fund this month.

Also there has been an amendement to the Specific Funding Criteria for this programme in relation to public playgrounds. Please go to the link above for the details.

Wildlife and Green Spaces

We are very pleased to announce the names of the four groups whose projects have been awarded grants through our innovative joint grant programme with Church Urban Fund. This grant programme was open to small faith-based community groups seeking to deliver nature conservation and green space projects, with a community benefit, in London. It attracted 22 applications from across the Greater London area, seeking a total of over £150,000. The successful groups are:
